Progress on building safety remediation

09 December 2021

Our programme of investigations on buildings over 18 metres high with external wall systems, to check they have been built as designed and comply with building regulations, is now well advanced and some remediation work is under way.

We’ve completed two projects already in Stockwell and Westminster. We have EWS1 forms which represent nearly 2,000 homes, plus an additional 1,000 for section 106 homes, giving those residents peace of mind and allowing them to move on with their lives. Six buildings have a waking watch or evacuation manager.

We’re now moving to the next phase of the programme which is to investigate our buildings under 18 metres. We’ve started on-site at three schemes at Park Royal, South Harrow and Watford and are close to agreeing a position on several more, to get started in the new year. We’re updating the residents of all our buildings which could be affected on a three-month schedule – even if there’s not an update so that they know we’re still trying to progress their project.

We recognise the situation is causing distress to people affected and we will continue to do everything we can to keep residents fully informed about the situation relating to their homes.
